"Mid Range Duck Calls"
Osage Orange
|
Osage Orange is the only native wood that I use to make calls. I first began making calls twenty-five years ago of this wood. Osage orange is a very hard and dense wood giving it the qualities necessary to produce a first rate duck call. The wood is a bright yellow which ages to a golden brown.

Cocobolo
|
Cocobolo has become the standard wood of fine custom calls. It is a very stable and dense wood with excellent musical qualities. Cocobolo's very high oil content helps limit moisture absorption. FIRST RATE!

"Mid Range Duck Call"
African Black Wood
|
African Black Wood has become the "Cadillac" wood for custom duck calls today. It is denser, heavier, and even more tightly grained than cocobolo. It produces a call that is a little sharper and louder than cocobolo. Because of African black wood's density and shine, some people first think these calls are made of acrylic. TOP OF THE LINE!
