Mid Range Duck Calls

                                   These mid range calls are designed to cover most hunting situations. They are treated with a tung oil finish
                                   and are polished to a high gloss shine with carnuba wax. They have a fantastic low end quack and a
                                   ringing high ball. Made of cocobolo, African black wood, or osage orange, each call comes with a
                                   pinned brass band.

Osage Orange

Osage Orange is the only native wood that I use to make calls.  I first began making
calls twenty-five years ago of this wood.  Osage orange is a very hard and dense
wood giving it the qualities necessary to produce a first rate duck call.  The wood
is a bright yellow which ages to a golden brown.

Cocobolo has become the standard wood of fine custom calls.  It is a very stable and
dense wood with excellent musical qualities.  Cocobolo's very high oil content helps
limit moisture absorption.  FIRST RATE!

African Black Wood

African Black Wood has become the "Cadillac" wood for custom duck calls today.  It
is denser, heavier, and even more tightly grained than cocobolo.  It produces a call that
is a little sharper and louder than cocobolo.  Because of African black wood's density
and shine, some people first think these calls are made of acrylic.  TOP OF THE LINE!
